About Guido Mitschke
Guido Mitschke is a System Designer and Business Architect with an extraordinary 49-year computer career. As a student, he worked in 1977 at the computing center of the particle accelerator DESY PETRA, was a mainframe expert (Siemens BS2000, Assembler, Cobol), and home computer pioneer (C64 – first payment: 100 Deutsche Mark for camping site software).
In 1994, he founded Transact, a healthcare BI company that he led as CEO for 26 years. With clients like Helios Kliniken (101 hospitals, 50,000+ beds) and annual revenue exceeding 3 million EUR, he established himself as an expert in hospital controlling and business intelligence.
Today, Guido is CEO of Today is Life GmbH and CTO of Chronuu. He has witnessed the complete computer evolution: from mainframes through home computers and client/server to web, cloud, and AI. His strength: He designs functioning software systems that are implemented by his partner network (TheRightClick, Crete).
Guido is the author of three books: "Effective Business Communication" (2024), "Decree & Democracy – The First 100 Days of Trump 2025", and "The End of Clicks" (coming January 2026). He is a remote work pioneer since 1994 (30+ years of home office!) and regularly works from Crete.
